​1) Where do you find all the US placenames?

-We have access to a national database of all officially named US places/entities.

2) Why does Hawaii, and sometimes Alaska, not always appear on the map?

-If no queried names result in HI or AK we generally do not display the state, basically to save room for pictures, etc.

3) Can I request a certain font (and color) for the map title? Yes - as long as it exists in our system (we have many)​

4) Can I request a custom map that is not on this website? Yes - if it follows the same US place/entity name theme (town, water body, summit, etc), we can discuss whether we can make it or not. Maybe you know a group of friends who travel together, have a man-cave or a she-shed... like maps? They need a 'Friends' map!

5) What is an ARTiPLAQ™ map and what does it look like? 

Wood Plaque, or ARTiPLAQ™, is a custom plaque mounting product which is an affordable alternative to picture framing. These are fabulous, high-quality products hand-crafted right here in Maine, in the USA. ARTiPLAQ™ is 3/8” MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) - the same substrate from which office furniture and kitchen cabinets are often made. There is an 1/8" bevel. Sides/bevel is black.    See picture below.

6) What is a desk mat and what does it look like?  

It is an ultra-smooth, flexible material like a typical mouse pad (60x40x2 cm or 23.5x15.5x.8 inches). Excellent surface for your mouse. Hand-stitched edging, finished with a neoprene rubber base to keep your mat held in place and support your wrists. Fully machine and hand washable.
